Det
Egyptiske dampskipet Abukir ble torpedert av en tysk Schnellboot den
28. Mai 1940 i Nordsjøen. Vi vet ikke stort om skipets historie, men
vraket hviler idag på en dybde av trettito meter og er i en forbausende
god stand. Broen har kollapset, men skroget og konstruksjonen generellt
er intakt. Du trenger en båt for å besøke vraket av Abukir...

The Egyptian steamship
Abukir was torpedoed by a German Schnellboot on 28. May 1940 in
the North Sea. We dont know much of the ships history, but the
wreck rest today on a depth of thirty two meters in a surprisingly
good condition. The bridge has collapsed, but the hull and the
construction generally is intact. You need a boat to visit the
wreck of Abukir...
