The steamship Otto was on
her last voyage on a journey from Riga to Hull in England, when
she at Öresund near Sweden collided with the British steamer Thorsa
on 7. August 1892. The crew barely had time to abandon the
ship before she sank in the deep. One man was injured in the accident.
The wreck of Otto is old, but amazingly enough almost whole of
the ship is still intact. Some damage after all these years can
of course be seen, and at the collision point, but Otto can provide
an exiting dive. The wreck of Otto rest on a depth of twenty two
to thirty meters, and is a popular dive site in this area...
