The Norwegian ship Kongstind disappeared in the deep 4 january 2003 outside Hustadvika near Molde city. The rescue central receives an emergence call around midnight 4 january 2003 form Kongstind, and several ships and a helicopter are put in service to search for and assist Kongstind, and late in the night the ship is found floating with only her bow visible above the waterline. Of the crew of four men, one is later found perished, while the other three are missing. The wreck of Kongstind was later checked by divers to look for the crew, but no other was to be found on the wreck. Kongstind had a cargo of fertilizer and was headed for Kristiansund on her last journey. The wreck rest today on her keel on a depth of thirty six to forty seven meters in open waters outside Hustadvika. From Hustadvika there are approximate. fifteen minutes with a boat to the position, but large parts of the wreck are broken down because of the rough weather out here. A boat and nice weather is essential to visit the wreck of Kongstind...
