Det tyske depotskipet Südmeer ble senket av Russiske fly 14. Oktober 1944 nordvest for Nordkapp. Vraket av Südmeer hviler i i åpent vann, med akterdelen på tre hundre meters dyp, delvis nedgravd i sjøbunnen, nordøst for Sværholtklubben mellom Porsangerfjord og Laksefjord. Baug seksjonen av skipet har ikke blitt funnet...


The German depot ship Südmeer was sunk by Russian airplanes 14. October 1944 northwest of Nordkapp. The wreck of Südmeer rest in open waters with the stern section on a depth of three hundred meters, partly buried in the seabed, north east of Sværholtklubben between Porsangerfjord and Laksefjord. The stern section of the ship has not been found...
